After a successful year with three back to back successes in Pad Man, Gold and 2.0, Akshay Kumar is all set to own box office with as many as five big movie releases.

Akshay Kumar had a super successful year in 2018 with as many as three successful releases in Pad Man, Goldand 2.0. And while the Khan superstars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan failed at the box office, Akshay Kumar is probably the only superstar to have seen success in 2018. That too with all three of his films. In a year that belonged to young actors, Akshay Kumar is the only superstar that conquered the box office. Also, Ajay Devgn had a Rs 100 crore success in Raid. 

And looks like Akshay Kumar is all set to own 2019 even in a bigger way with as many as 5 big releases in Kesari, Good News, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi. And going by the buzz around all the releases, they are all set to be big blockbusters at the box office.

Kesari

Based on a true story of the Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari will see Akshay Kumar lead the battalion of 21 brave Sikh soldiers who went on a war against 10,000 of Afghan soldiers in 1897. Produced by Karan Johar, Kesariis directed by Anurag Singh and will release on March 21.

Mission Mangal

Based on India's first mission to Mars, Mission Mangal stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu and Sharman Joshi, among others, the movie is slated for Independence Day 2019 release. 

Good News

Starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, Good News is reportedly about a couple who are trying for a baby. The movie is slated for a July 19 release. 

Housefull 4

Touted to be one of its kind period comedy, Housefull 4 will mark the return of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Chunkey Panday to the hit franchise and will see the addition of Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. The movie is slated for a Diwali 2019 release. 

Sooryavanshi

Akshay Kumar's cameo in Simmba is one of the most loved in recent times. This was also one of its kind way for filmmaker Rohit Shetty to announce his new film starring Akshay Kumar. According to Simmba, Sooryavanshi is taking charge in 2019 and is expected to release in December.
