Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan, is reportedly being considered to be cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his Rakesh Sharma biopic titled Salute.

Fatima Sana Shaikh to be the leading lady in Salute?
Fatima Sana Shaikh, whose last gig in Thugs of Hindostan that failed to impress its viewers, is being considered to be cast opposite Bollywood's King Shah Rukh Khan in Anurag Basu's star-studded Salute. This comes in co-incidentally just a few days after the Dangal actress had confessed about her love for the Zero star.
A report published by Bollywood Hungama said, “The makers are still on a hunt for the leading lady. Fatima Sana Shaikh too is being considered for the role. They seem to be quite impressed with her performances and she is one of the leading contenders for it.”
The actress had earlier said in an interview with the entertainment portal that if there's one person in the industry that she gets nervous to be around, that's Shah Rukh Khan. She had reportedly also said that she is dying to work with him.
Salute will see Shah Rukh in the role of Rakesh Sharma, the Air Force officer turned astronaut, the first Indian to travel into space. The shooting for the film is expected to begin in February and Ronnie Screwvala along with Siddharth Roy Kapur will be producing it.
No official announcement has been made about the choice for the lead actress in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan's hugely anticipated December 2018 release Zero failed to win the hearts of the fans and Bollywood buffs. The film also turned out to be a damp squib at the box office
